Text-to-Speech Process

Text-to-Speech Process

Explaining the information, mission and vision of the advertising companies; Introductory texts that contain information about the product or service and create it in a way that attracts the attention of the consumer are expressed as advertising texts. Advertising texts are created for media areas such as radio, television, newspapers, magazines, digital channels, and there are different advertising text formats for each advertising area. While visual advertisements stand out in print media such as newspapers and magazines, visual, audio and written text are a whole in television and digital media. Radio ads, on the other hand, consist of sound and ad text.

Text to Voice

The purpose of an ad copy is to give the commercial producer the content needed to sell a product or service. A good ad copy grabs the attention of the consumer, builds brand recognition and encourages the viewer to buy the product or service. The voiceover of the advertising text is expressed as text voiceover. The most accurate and catchy transfer of the message that the ad text wants to give to the audience and the consumer depends on the ability to speak the text. Text voice-overs are made for different projects such as commercials, promotional films, documentaries, switchboard announcements.

The advertising text brief describing the project content and objectives is written by the copywriters. After the ad copy is completed, it is shared with the client and the agency. After the text is approved by the customer, the voice-over phase begins. Selection of appropriate voice for text voiceover takes place under the management of voice-over and dubbing agencies. The sound director creates the appropriate cast based on the type of text. While evaluating dubbing artists for texts containing character voiceovers in casting selection; voice actors are preferred for advertising texts. After selecting the right voice for text analysis and text-to-speech, the voice actor enters the recording studio for a rehearsal. After the rehearsal reading, a voiceover recording is made.

Although there are some text voice-over programs used for text-voicing, these software are not preferred by professional companies. This type of text-voicing software, which cannot fully reflect the emotion of the text, is not positively evaluated by agencies and brands.

Converting Text to Audio

“Text-to-Speech”, known as TTS for short, is used as Converting Text to Voice in Turkish. The Text-to-Speech service is a speech synthesis format that converts text to spoken audio output.

Text-to-Speech technology is a type of assistive technology that reads digital text aloud. Sometimes referred to as "read aloud" technology. The text-to-speech service provides the conversion of written text to spoken speech. Usually, this software converts words into sound, producing sound waves that resemble a natural human voice speech. This technology converts short texts of a few words or long texts such as articles into human voice.

Dialogue Voice Over

Conversations in real life; While words gain meaning with tone and emotions, the same rule applies for dialogue vocalizations. Dialogue ad copy contains multiple voices. The reading and recording of these texts takes place with several voice actors. Dialogue voiceover texts contain theatrical elements in which voice actors highlight their acting abilities. Another feature of dialogue vocalization is the use of ambient sounds, rabarba, which is the sound effect of extras as if they are talking, and other effects in text reading. Dialogue text voiceover is like a theater stage. The voice actor conveys the emotion of the text to the audience by making voiceovers with his acting ability.
